ULTRASOUND-GUIDED PERCUTANEOUS ELECTROLYSIS • Tendinopathies

Tendon pathology represents a challenge for athletes across all disciplines and levels, both in terms of managing training loads and in defining a reliable prognosis. The cornerstone of treatment is undoubtedly active functional rehabilitation, which is essential to trigger the adaptive responses required for the healing process. To increase the likelihood of a successful outcome, so-called multimodal therapy — which combines active rehabilitation with other complementary therapeutic modalities — has proven even more effective. Among these, ultrasound-guided percutaneous electrolysis is a recent, high-precision technique capable of specifically identifying and targeting the most severely damaged areas of the tendon through the pathological process, providing a regenerative stimulus. The course aims to introduce participants to the technique and its application to the most common tendinopathies in sport, with a practice-oriented approach readily applicable in outpatient settings.
