The cornerstone of treatment is undoubtedly active functional rehabilitation, which is essential to trigger the adaptive responses required for the healing process. To increase the likelihood of a successful outcome, so-called multimodal therapy \u2014 which combines active rehabilitation with other complementary therapeutic modalities \u2014 has proven even more effective. Among these, ultrasound-guided percutaneous electrolysis is a recent, high-precision technique capable of specifically identifying and targeting the most severely damaged areas of the tendon through the pathological process, providing a regenerative stimulus.
