Knee injuries are not uncommon in athletes, and frequently involve isolated or combined meniscal structures. Managing a traumatic event — which is quite different from handling purely degenerative conditions — requires the involvement of several professional figures, each focused on a specific aspect of the therapeutic pathway. As in any team, coordination and information sharing are fundamental to achieving the desired outcomes.

The Course therefore aims not only to examine the state of the art in the diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative aspects of meniscal injuries in athletes, but also to promote dialogue between different specialists (orthopedic surgeon, radiologist, physiatrist, sports physician), encouraging the sharing of clinical reasoning from multiple perspectives.

These elements, combined with targeted in-depth sessions through lectures and re-live surgery, are essential for achieving a clearer and more effective overall view of the return-to-sport pathway and, ultimately, for supporting and safeguarding the resumption of high-level athletic activity.
